When I see Dr. Alan in SJMC

The same day on the 9th of June, I arrived SJMC at 4.45pm (around that time, due to bad traffic jam in Subang round about).... we straight to Dr. Alan's clinic.

Dr's clinic was only open in the morning and by the time we arrived clinic already closed. We talked to her nurse, Vasanti, a very helpful nurse and showed her Dr. Janet's reference letter, she immediately called Dr. Alan to see me.

Finally we got Dr. Alan, the same thing, he told me I probably have lymphoma... haizz. He wanted me to admit on that night as well... I tried to bargain and I told doc that since it's already late and nothing can be done today, why not I admit tomorrow :P... Doc replied:"No bed, better secure yours."
Nowadays hospital really have good business... so we proceed to the admission counter and admit.

My parents came around 8++pm and again they showed me the face they were so worry about my conditions. I cant do anything more but not to cry that moment was the best thing.

Finally after many hours, we got the room and bed and admit to ward. I choose 2 bed room due to I have limited budget.

By the time I walked in to the room, I saw another cancer lady who really made me shocked and scared. I guess she had suffered a lot from therapies. She is white in color, hairless and she groan the whole night because she is in pain.

I hugged my mil and cried after my parents left... I was so scared.

Suspect that I have Lymphoma

On the 9th of June, it supposed to be my happy holiday where my company given replacement leave for Agong's birthday which fell on 7th June. However, I was having very bad cough ever the night before till I couldn't sleep at all.
I brought my mother in law along with me to Chinese Maternity Hospital to visit Dr. Janet Foo, internal medicine doc to see if I m having lung infection. After she checked, she told me that my heart beat was too fast which is >100 per min and she asked if I had any thyroid history in my family, I answerd No... and she asked me to go for blood test and X-ray.

Luckily I brought my blood test result with me and only went to X-ray in Tung Shin. Dr. Chong Ying Seong, which is my husband's uncle found that there was a shadow in my lung.... well... His reaction made me worry so do my mom in law.

Again, he said.... he needs further check up.... so, he arranged me for CT scan.

We wait and wait and wait and finally Result out........ my right lung and heart were in fluid and after both doctors
read my blood test result, they said 1 of the index showed abnormal.

It was so hard for him to tell me that he suspect I has Lymphoma cancer... but his face showed that I m not alright. He passed the case back to Dr. Janet.

I am really worried as I do not have medical card.... I lapsed it. I thought I will be covered by the company's insurance. But I just joined the new company for 1 week, I need to go through insurance grace period. All I could think of is Money if I need to admit to hospital.

Dr. Janet told me that they suspect I have blood disorder and suspect I could have lymphoma. We were blurred and not understand the medical term at all... till she told me that Lymphoma is type of CANCER!!

My mind and my heart were like putting a bomb and I emotional started unstable in clinic. It terrified me
. Doc advised my mil not to let me drive as my emotion not stable, so she called my fil and husband to the clinic.

Dr. Janet and Dr. Chong wanted me to admit to hospital immediately as they worry my heart beat too fast and I will collapsed anytime at home. So she told me that she will handed me to the best doc - Dr. Alan Teh, Hematology in SJMC.

Eventually I calm dowm myself and called my mom and told her all these... she just told me, admit to hospital first and we will sort out the money issue later.

When husband arrived, all I can do was hugging my hubby and cry.

When I visited those 2 da 6 doctors

After 1 month from when I discovered I had lymphoma, finally I find my time and mood to start with this blog.

To record what I had been through and experienced throughout this journey.

I was having serious cough for the pass 2 months and I thought it was a normal cough. At firt, I started with all the medicines from the pharmacies, these includes pei pai kao... Prospan.. some other Chinese medicines.

Then week after, I went to a normal GP - Mary Hew Medical Center, which is nearby my house, the doc asked me to take the nebulizer as she told me that I had a lot of phlegm in my lung, so I took 1 time (1 course 3 times) and experienced the side effect of the nebulizer - headache and tired, therefore I stopped.
As usual this doc will gave me the cough remedy and antibiotic and asked me to finished up all those but I wasn't work.

So, I changed doc again week afterwards, visit my company panel doc - HOREB SDN BHD (CHONG DISPENSARY) in Manara Hap Seng, again almost the same thing, cough remedy and wasn't work.

Again I back to Mary Hew and she told me the same story and this round I decided to finished the whole course of the nebulizer and see what's the result.... same...

After so many weeks of coughing, I went back to Horeb, Dr. Yew, the 2nd doc who see me. I asked her for reference letter to see specialist, I worried that I might have lung infection and described to her that I suffered from muscle pain and breathless due to cough. She refused to write me the letter and told me that it could be my lifestyle problem to create all the bad cough. She claimed that she will give better medicine. In my heart... WHAT A DOCTOR!!

On the 29th of May, my legs started swollen, so, I went to Mary Hew again, since that I visited her many times, I believed that she had all my record, and she told me that I might have kidney diseases and asked me to take full blood test. I was in shocked!!!

On the 31st May, Mary Hew's clinic called and said result out, so I went to visit again for the report. Doc told me that I am very alright and normal, just that my white blood cells are low due to cough and cholesterol is a bit high... I asked her why did my leg swollen? She told me that may I walked too much or I ate too many salt! HUH??!!

On the 3rd June, I changed doc again, the 4th doc, Alam Medic in OUG, Doc Paul told me that my airflow wasn't go in smooth to my right chest, due to his clinic is small so he unable to check further but he wrote me a letter to specialist... THANKS GOD!! After many times visit the above docs no one actually wants did that for me.

Lymphoma story begin here...........................
